Health and Safety – G & W Mineral Resources
G & W Mineral Resources actively promotes safety, health, environmental and quality awareness and training. Adherence to the relevant principals, best practice and legislation has resulted in an exceptional record in these areas, which we constantly strive to maintain.
The SHEQ Department is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of our safety, health, quality, and environmental policies, which are controlled under the auspices of our Integrated Management System. We have ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification on the site.
Quality Assurance
G & W Mineral Resources is committed to providing specialized industrial mineral products and services in accordance with the requirements of our customers. We believe that our customers define quality and that our quality will be measured by their satisfaction.
To achieve the above we shall:
- Maintain a documented Quality System based on the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 code of practice.
- Identify the requirements of our customers, both external and internal, and implement processes to achieve to ensure their satisfaction.
- Review our business activities regularly to ensure compliance to customer and our own requirements.
- Audit and review the quality system regularly to confirm compliance to relevant standards.
- Provide a framework for establishing quality objectives and regularly review them to ensure the suitability of this policy and the continual improvement of the effectiveness of the quality management system.
- Motivate sustained Quality Awareness and Continual Quality Improvement at all levels of the organization.
A Guide to Accessing Our Information
The Promotion of Access to Information Act No. 2 of 2000 came into operation on 23 November 2001. Section 51 of this Act requires that G & W Mineral Resources as a private body compile a manual providing information to the public regarding the procedure to be followed in requesting information from us for the purpose of exercising or protecting rights.
